Therapy Equipment Available

Lexi's Closet provides a variety of therapy equipment for children with special needs. When families seek equipment for their child with special needs, they are confused by options, brands, styles of apparatus and equipment available. Our closet gives families a chance to try out what is needed before an expensive, non-refundable purchase is made.

Lexi's Closet provides an opportunity for a "test drive" of a special piece of equipment before making a commitment to purchase it.

Please browse through the inventory of items available for trial. Items that are currently placed with families are not shown in this list.  If you do not see something that you need, please contact us and we will help you locate the item.

Donate Equipment

Lexi's Closet also serves as a place where families can donate used equipment that is either been out-grown by their child or no longer needed. Families and therapists can view our inventory of equipment online. If there is equipment in the inventory, the family can have and use what they need until they receive what they have ordered. It is a simple case of people helping people.

To donate therapy equipment, fill out the Equipment Donor Application.

Financial Assistance / Grant Request Process

Lexi's Closet also grants funding for equipment not found in our closet, for families in need and who have exhausted their mainstream resources. To request funding, follow this process:

1. Contact Us by email, or call 847.624.LEXI (5394) to see if the equipment piece you are requesting is currently in our Closet Inventory.
2. Complete and return the Equipment Grant Application. We will contact you to confirm receipt of your request and discuss details.

We can no longer honor requests for full or partial funding for vehicles. Applications are accepted and reviewed 3 times annually. The deadlines are as follows:

• April 30
• August 31
• December 31

You will receive notice of our decision within 30 days of the Application deadline. Please do not call the office to inquire.  Should your request be denied and meets the criteria, your Application will be rolled to the proceeding quarter, in the order it was received, for consideration.
